Deer Park took part in Air Quality Monitoring project. The National charity Asthma + Lung UK were offering 200 London schools the chance to do an outdoor air quality monitoring project at and around the site, to raise awareness of local air pollution and promote active travel (walking, scooting & cycling). It was entirely free and support was provided by both the charity and/or Richmond Council’s air quality team as needed.

The charity provided diffusion tubes to be put up in locations outside schools to measure nitrogen dioxide levels. Monitoring took place over a four-week period, and then the tubes were sent off to the lab’ for analysis. The results were shared with the Eco Council team at the school.
