The metropolitan police works in partnership with Transport for London and City of London Police (CoLP) to raise road safety awareness. The metropolitan police officers visited the school and involved pupils in year 4 and 5 in a road safety initiative which aims to reduce speeding in residential areas. The children went out in groups with the police officers and used the speed detection equipment to identify speeding vehicles around the school. The children were actively involved, participated and enjoyed using the speed detection equipment and learnt about the importance of reducing speed, focusing on speed awareness and road safety issues around the school.
