Our year 5s took part in Pedestrian Skills Training with Camden Council. The programme aims to give children the skills and knowledge to make independent journeys more safely. Training covers the following areas in safer crossing behaviour: paying attention on the roads and not being distracted, safe route planning, using designated crossings safely, assessing direction of traffic and identifying the safer time to cross, and observing the behaviour of other road users.
