As part of the Redbridge School Streets Walk Zone project pupils were taught about how people who travel by foot and bike breathe less pollution than those travelling by car, and how walking or cycling to school is healthier for us.  

They also learnt about pulse rate and exercise by walking outside of the school, using the walk zone map, and taking before and after pulse rates to assess the effect of exercise on our bodies. See their resutls of the exercise in
