On Tuesday 9th April 2019, Year 1 and Year 2 (along with class teachers and parent volunteers) took part in the Great British Spring Clean. This involved walking to our local park and picking up all the litter they could see with special litter pickers and gloves. The groups then walked through the streets in and around the estate where Concordia Academy is based and had a great time cleaning up the pavements. The Great British Spring Clean was a great way of educating the children on ways we can improve our local environment and also the importance of recycling, as well as giving them an opportunity to walk through their estate and explore their local area. Everyone involved loved this activity (despite the April Showers!) and can't wait to do more activities like this.
