Mapping exercises
Our story
For the first two years Ada Lovelace was based on the site of William Perkin CofE High School in Greenford, whilst most students lived close to the nodal point in Ealing.
As the Greenford area of the new school site was unfamiliar, it was important that students learnt more about their new school area and plan their new sustainable journey to school.
Year 7 Geography lessons were used to get Ada students used to the local area. promoted the use of public transport and helped children to map routes from local public transport (bus stops, train and tube stations) to schools.
125 pupils participated and learnt more about their local area and planned their route to the new school site and learnt the importance of sustainble transport for their journey to school, such as the bus.
