Our Geography department were keen to raise awareness of climate change, but also support their curriculum for Year 8 in which climate change is taught. 

The Head of Department promoted a Climate Change Game/Competition which is run by the Financial Times. In the game students have to try to reduce CO2 emissions and reach net 0 before 2050 based on decisions you make.

There is a section on transport where students have to make policy decisons about how best to reduce emissions from transport. I have attached screen shots to show these. The issues were discussed in lessons prior to launching the competition.

Twenty one students submitted screen shots of their attempts at the Climate Game and this was celebrated in lessons.
