As our year 7s are new to the school, we wanted them to investigate how sustainable the school is by surveying how students travel to school as well as other aspects such as how many students have a reusable water bottle. To do this, students individually filled out their own tally charts and then collated their data when back in their classes. Our year 7s found that 80% of the students they asked walk or cycle to school. They also presented their data in pie charts and wrote up an evaluation of their reseearch.. From this we have set ourselves the target to get 90% of students travelling actively this year.  In order to ido this we have decided to run Eco Active month later in the academic year where we will hold a walk to school week and get forms to compete with each other.
