This year we have been looking to push the amount of students engaging with walking to school. We are soon planning to hold another ‘most eco’ active month competition and in order to increase engagement we have updated our walking zones map, to include specific routes, so that students know the way to go, once they have dropped a stop or got out of the car to park and stride. Our TFL ambassadors created the map, as they are already familiar with the area and walking routes. We hope that this will help students to become more confident with walking around the local area and that it will become part of their routine on the way into school.
