We run an annual sponsored walk to raise money to send girls to school in Mozambique who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity. this year's event took place on Friday 26th May and included all students walking from school to Pitzhanger Park then proceeding to complete laps of the park to raise money. As a more efficient way of  monitoring how far students has the walked, this year we gave them all lap cards. This acted as a phyical reminder to students about how far they are able to walk. It was great to see many students with walking or running upto 15 laps of the park. Although the primary function of the event is to raise money for charity, the walking route promotes walking to school as it takes in a number of areas in which our students live. We also hope that this walk helped students to become more familiar with the local area are routes around the school to increase active travel
