As part of our Eco Active month, we wanted to get our students walking an increasing their step count. As students cannot have smart devices at school, our weekend walking competition was a our work around to a step counting competition. Our aim was to get student to walk somewhere where they would normally take the car, or to simply explore their local area. We asked students to submit proof of their walk by showing their step count, a photo of the walk, or a write up of how the walk went.  As a result students were able to write down and think about the benefits of walking and we hope to run the competition again next year.
