We were delighted to welcome into school PC Poi, our Schools Liaison Police Officer to speak to all pupils in a virtual assembly on20th May. She came into school to present this assembly and then walked around the school to see pupils in their individual homerooms. The focus of the whole assembly was safety including on journeys to and from school.

During the assembly, PC Poi talked through various scenarios and what to do in each for example

A pupil is on the way home from school and someone tries to steal their phone​

Pupils are in a large group at the bus stop and people are messing about as young children are trying to pass​

Pupils loved the assembly especially the chance to ask questions. We were very grateful to PC Poi for coming in to see pupils and look forward to a return visit next year, hopefully with an assembly in the hall in person.
