Bannockburn hosted their annual community Fun Run, where over 120 people particpated, over 30 staff supported and over £1200 was raised.Option included 5k and 10k races around the local area, all mapped, risk-assessed and marshalled - a huge feat of coordination. There was also a 2k fun disco walk around newarby Plumstead Gardens.The area featured many local roads that we know our families use when the walk to school and so these were highlighted to participants so they knew these are safe areas for walking. Certain marshalls were also tasked with informing people that the roads could be used for park and stride, to both families and the residents, so as to help siupport the buidling of mutuallysupportive relationshis with residents (who previously might have worried that their roads would be full of cars!) Feedback was excellent from local residents and marshalls.
