All of year 5 were working on maps for their geography work this last term. They made maps using print outs from google maps and added their own landmarks to them (such as school, home, parents workplace, favourite playpark and their route to school), the class helped to facilitate discussion about how the children got to school and where the easiest places were to walk and cycling on their maps.
