Key Stage 4 completed the Brighten Your Bag activity as part of the PSHE topic Road safety linked with Road Safety week. The children watched videos or looked at pictures where people had dark clothing on in the evening and they were asked to spot them. They discussed why this could be dangerous and what could they do. They then looked at cyclist and pedestrians wearing reflective strips, lights, bright clothing etc. We looked at resources in the school such as hi vis jackets and reflective badges and bright coloured clothing. The children then designed their own bright bag, evidence of two of these are attached. Within the key stage 2 classes we had a competition and the winners won some reflective wrist bands.
