The children from St Bede's took part in the Bike Week. We sent a flyer to parents explaining why we take part in this event and we encouraged the children to cycle and scoot to school as much as possible that week. The staff members who cycle to school show children their bikes (electric and push bikes) and talked about the differences and similarities to children's bikes. The teachers chose the activities from the Sustrans resources to introduce the crosscurriculum  activities. Our children learnt how to name different parts of their bikes and how these parts help bikes moving, the older children learnt about the impact of exercise on our bodies and why it is so important to keep exercising.
