One of our parents came to the school to say they had noticed lots of cars idling as they collect their child from the school. The JRSO team had a meeting about this and decided to go outside of school during pic-up time to see the problem first hand. They took a tally chart with them to compare the number of cars that had their engines on to the number of cars that had their engines off. They also looked out for any cars that were circling or parked over resident’s driveways.

Once they had put together their findings, they put this in the newsletter to inform parents. If the problem continues, the JRSO team will discuss what else can be done.
