Public transport for school trips
Beaumont Primary School
London Borough of Croydon
Our story
When undertaking school trips Beaumont frequently uses Public Transport. Sited next to Reedham Rail Station, rail transport links to London are very convenient and from there onward use of buses and underground trains educate the pupils into getting around the city and learning its layout and geography. School trips in the current school year include the Globe Theatre, the Natural History Museum, Tate Britain and the Science Museum to name but a few. These trips are supported under TfL's School Party Travel Scheme.
Trips closer to school include use of not only trains and buses but also the Croydon Tram system which is only a few minutes away.
