The two Year 6 Junior Travel Ambassadors (JTAs) planned and presented a section on 'travel to school' at the Induction Meeting of September 2018 Reception Year parents/carers. Using their knowledge gained from attending Beaumont for 7 years, the JTAs were able to give guidance on the safe & active methods of travel together with tips on driver awareness and peak time congestion. They prepared a Travel Survey for the families to complete & used these, after the meeting, to assess the potential impact of additional vehicles or more active travel to the school with effect September 2018. Where families had indicated their postcode/house number, the JTAs plotted potential "pairings" with existing families to reduce congestion at peak times.
