As part of school's commitment to promoting Healthy, safe, sustainable travel we launched our first 'Bike to School Week' starting on the firsdt day of the second half of the summer term.  Parents, children  and staff were informed about the date at the start of the Summer term in the list of diary dates.  A reminder was placed in the school's newsletter before the half term break.  The headteacher reminded children in assembly on the first day back and the STP CHampion sent a reminder email to parents.  The school's site manager and SLT agreed to tally the amount of children who cycled  to school using counter clocks for the week.  A total of 425 journeys were recorded and there was a special Bikers Breakfast snack given to cyclists on the last Friday.  This will be repeated next year with an added reminder for children to always wera cycle helmets.
