We ran a KS1 art competition. Children drew their journeys to school and things they came across. They also wrote about their most favourite and least favourite thing of the journey. Children also created pieces to showcase the benefits of them walking or cycling to school. Work was displayed around school helping and encouraging student to make active travel choices. 2 winners were then picked which was then celebrated in assembly by the head teacher. The winning entries were then displayed around the school. This meant that all children were encouraged to take active modes of transport.
