S - Parents/carers of pupils already attending the school know that we promote active travel. New parents/carers are given this information in September when their child starts at our school  

T - The aim was to encourage new parents/carers to use active travel right from the start of their child’s time with us, rather than in the first few weeks in September

A - I asked our Headteacher to update the Nursery Handbook and School Handbook (for starters in Reception and in-year starters) with our Active Travel status. This was discussed at a  Pupils, Family’s and Community’s  Committee.

R - The School Handbook and The Nursery Handbook now include information that we are a STARS accredited school and promote and encourage active travel.
