Our school took part in World children day 2019 in association with UNICEF and  participated in the competition. The competed entries were shortlisted and we voted on the top 3.  Some created posters on active travel and walking to school, showing awareness of their routes and road safety.   Those who are on school transport  did a "thought of the day" , which gave them an opportunity to explore underground stations and awareness of where to find the boards which would also have information on how to travel to your destination. The participating pupils engaged in increasing their knowledge on active travel and road safety and they were able to share their inspirational ideas with their peers- highlighting the importance of the topic.
