As part of the Post16 exeperience we host a shopping day at different locations in West London for students that ahve been awarded vouchers. We wanted to promote the safe use of public transport and where we take students by public transport to a chosen destination to do their shopping with vouchers awareded to them. All students visited Harrow on the hill on 5th July and got the bus there. Each pupil planned their route, and on the day took 140 to and from Harrow as planned. We had discussed safety and beahviour as well as social distancing when using public transport prevously and they all demostrated a great understanding of this on the bus. Students had a wonderful day and enjoyed the independence of using transport espeacially those who are not independent- they loved tapping in.
