We held an anti-idyling workshop for our children in upper KS2 (Yrs4/5/6).  The children participated in an event run by MP Smarter Travel.  The children watched an informative video and held discussions after on what they thought how they car polluiton was harming the environment. The children designed posters to encourage parents and local residents to be more aware of turning their car engines off when waiting to collect children or family in their cars.  At the end of the day 6 children were chosen to the front of the school to speak to parents collecting children about what they had learnt.

The children enjoyed the day and it had a huge impact on the children encouraging parents to be more aware of their actions.

The school Governors and Havering Councillors also attended this event.
