Our story

The weather wasn’t brilliant when we headed off to catch the bus from Tesco’s to the train station in Romford but we all had jackets and a packed lunch so we were ready for anything. We managed to fill up the top deck on the TFL bus. At the station in Romford the staff were really helpful, making sure we all got through the barriers and onto the train without any problems. A short ride, chatting and keeping an eye out of the windows and we hit Stratford. Most of us have been shopping at Stratford, but NONE of us have visited the Orbital. Although it is huge and red it was surprisingly difficult to find our way through the tall buildings and get to the Orbital – but we got there after one or two detours! We are all a lot more confident now about getting around on public transport and finding our way through crowds. Some of us are planning to go back to the Orbital.
