Year 5 pupils were considering nature within performance poetry. Each class had the lesson outdoors in the playground or field to use their senses to make comparisons and to be able to describe thoughts/ feelings. Children took what they had learnt/ gathered from their outdoor lesson to write a piece of performance poetry. They then had another lesson outside to perform their pieces. Children completed a range of performance poetry pieces including Renga and Heikus.
