Through bikeability our year 1 and year 2 children had cycle awareness training. The children learnt what side is best to ride if youre on a pavement. That we must watch out for cars reversing off drives, cars parked on the pavement and if they open their door. The children also learnt about making sure they are aware of people walking on the pavement and that they should go round them but not the kerb side but the side closest to houses and bushes.
