I am a JTA. We wanted to encourage the children and staff in our school to be more active. We had a meeting to discuss our ideas and we made a list of activities that we can organise and promote. It was decided that it would be easy for everyone to try to do a brisk 10 minute walk at break times or lunchtimes. We put up posters and we printed that in black and white to be more sustainable. Our school is a sustainable school. The JTA modelled how to walk at a good pace and we were allow to promote it in the assembly. It has been great fun and the teachers have been great role-models. We are going to be doing lots to help make the children more healthy and safe.
