Parent/carer involvement - road safety
Our story
A survey was undertaken by Miss Bell, who identified that a number of parents were dropping off their children on the zebra crossing (on zig zag lines) or on the double yellow lines.Miss Bell and the JTA's initially delivered an assemly outlining the concerns; concerns about the children's safety. It explained to the children that both places were going against the highway code and were infact illegal.Following the assembly, Miss Bell, the JTAs and some of their parents patrollled the area kindly telling parents that there were safer and better places to drop off. Maps were used to show parents and children closer alternatives.. This was also mention in the school news notes.Outside the school is now a safer places to drop off.
