For 5yrs, Barnes Primary School has partnered with local charity Skylarks - raising money through long distance cycles arranged by former parent Mitch Pender. Skylarks provides activities and therapies for children with disabilities and additional needs. Last year, 20+ parents and 1 staff member from the school cycled to Paris in two days raising nearly £20,000 which was split equally between Skylarks and the school. This year (Friday 09 June) we continued the partnership with an equally impressive Barnes to Bruges cycle ride - with 23 cyclists, many of whom are parents, cycling over 200 miles to once agian raise vital funds. The current fundraising figure for this most recent ride stands at over £21,000.
