When planning the Barnes to Paris cycle ride parents fed back to us that they really wanted to support the cycle but would find the two day cycle too big a challenge in many ways. The travel plan team met with our Headteacher and we worked to find a solution that would make the cycle more inclusive yet still remain safe to run. Thanks to the feedback received, this year we are organising a Barnes-Brighton cycle to run at the same time as the Barnes-Paris cycle. Cyclists wll depart together and follow the same route, recieve training and have vehicle support on the day. They will raise funds for the same charities and cycle together to Newhaven (Just outside of Brighton). We hope it will be a big success, so far we have 11 additional cyclists keen to cycle to Brighton.
