After my initial meeting with our STARS support officer Lindi Louw where she informed me about STARS, how it works, what we can do as a school and how everyone from students, parents, teachers and Senior leaders can participate and get involved. I asked the headmistress of the school if I could come to one of the board meetings to discuss and inform them of STARS. As I believe that if the whole school should be involved we need to show that the governors are also involved. I held a brief presentation at the board meeting which was received well. We discussed that many of the families do live in the near vicinity of the school for practical reasons. And that is so that they can walk or cycle to school.
