As part of the healthy schools award,  Year 1 (the target children) worked on keeping healthy . They looked  at a variety of ways trhey could do this in school and outside school. 

We addressed this through the curriculum, and the children designed a healthy meal. We worked with the charity 'change for life. ' The children discussed and used ideas for healthy food swaps. 

The chldren also looked at how to keep active and through discussions children felt motivated to engage in acitivities which improved their health.  A survey was carried out to collate informatiion about how trhey would like to come to school. Cycling was the most popular type of travel chosen by the children.
