Situation- We are striving to be a more active travel aware school. In a Priamry school, most of the time is down to the parent how the child arrives at school. This is why we felt it was really important not only for the children to become more aware of the benefits of active travel but also the parents.

Task- We know that commmunication with parents is key to improving the active travel at our school. We wanted all parents to have the opportunity to tell us how they are travelling and if there is any way that we can improve their journey.

Action- We decided to send out a survey, so the parents could have direct communication with us about their journey to school. This would allow a lot of parents to get their views in quickly and easily. We ensured that there was an opportunity for parents to comment on any ideas they have to ensure that they are part of thios process.
