Parking outside the school gates during morning drop and afternoon pick up has become more and more dangerous. Parents have been parking incosiderately and dangerously. We want to make sure that any pedestrains walking to school feel safe and any local residents know that their driveway is clear for them to come and go as they please. We have let parents know via this letter that we aware of the illegal and incosiderate parking. The headteacher has spoken with the local council and they have assured us that from time to time there will be a parking officer outside the gates at this time to ensure that all of our parents are parking and driving responsibly, if not they will be issued with a parking fine. Since this letter has gone out, the headteacher has been noticing that those few spaces in which parents' cars were parked are now clear. This has allowed the situation to become less dangerous and fustrating for everyone coming into school.
