Junior Travel Ambassador (JTA) Scheme
Our story
Havering's senior transport planning officer (Elaine Keeler), conducted an assembly for Yr5 pupils to launch the JTA scheme. Children were informed about the role and the responsibilities they would have.
This year Branfil is taking part in the 'Walking Maps Initiative' so this will be a key programme for the new JTAs to get involved with.
All Yr5 pupils were provided with an application form for them to apply for the position. They have been asked about their interests, why they wanrt to be a JTA and what would make them a good choice. At least 6 children (2 from each Yr5 class) will then be chosen as Branfil's JTAs.
They will form part of the Branfil Parliament, meeting regularly and completeing the 'Walking Maps Initiative' starting in January.
