To make parents and carers more aware of our school travel plans, we drafted a letter with the basic aims and initiatives of the current school travel plan that is being implemented. Using the TFL stars template letter, we adapted the letter to personalise it for our school. The letter was sent to parents via ParentMail and copies in the school office. Parents were asked to provide feedback and ideas on the current scheme. There was a low response rate, although we did gather some useful ideas which have helped to generate new targets. One response included the need for better vision for staff exiting the car park as children/parents/pedestrians are vulnerable when crossing.
