We were thrilled to invite TFL in to meet Year 6 to take part in a TFL Saftety and Citizenship workshop in preparation for transition into secondary school next year. This was particularly exciting for our pupils, as the majority of our pupils use school buses to travel to school, meaning many of the children are inexperienced using public transport independently. The children really enjoyed the interactive nature of the workshop and we had lots of keen participants! They did take the safety very seriously - it was great to see them putting what they had learned into practice when using the underground on our next educational visit day. As a result of taking part in the workshop, the children are now able to use TFL journey planner. We did a follow up PSHE session as a class and consolidated our learning by completing some of the activities in the booklet.
