Bikeability courses are designed to train children to cycle on the road safely and with confidence, so that they can go on to make independent on-road journeys.  The course covers Level 1 basic cycle control skills including signalling, manoeuvring , using gears and stopping in a traffic free environment (playground).  Then Level 2 takes place on quiet roads covering, passing parked cars, signalling and manoeuvring at junctions.
