Public transport for school trips
Our story
On Thursday 14th March 2019, Sunflower Class were lucky enough to visit the Royal Mews as a part of their literacy curriculum where they were part of a vocabulary enriching workshop.
In order to get to the Royal Mews, Year 1 along with their teachers and parent volunteers had to walk from their school to the Oldchurch Rise bus stop and take the 174 bus to Dagenham Heathway Station, from this point they then took the District line train to Victoria Station and then walked to the Royal Mews.
The children loved this trip, as some of them are rarely able to go on trains or buses and experience public transport. Year 1 also loved the walk to the Royal Mews as they were able to see Buckingham Palace and other nearby sights.
