All classes in the whole school were given the opportunity to submit an entry for the Walking Streets walk to school competition. As a school we felt the theme linked well with our curriculum as it was based on 'awe and wonder'. To increase and promote parental involvement we included this as part of our home learning (homework). We introduced the activity and competition in school linking it closely to the importance of walking over driving. The children were all given a template to take home. We had a record number of entries but with the help of the JTAs we narrowed it down to 3 entries. Fingers crossed waiting for the results now!
