There is limited parking on our site and we want to encourage staff to car share or opt for more active travel. This sets a good example for our students to do the same.

As the Biker's breakfast we ran for students recently was so successful we decided to do something similar for staff, primarily to encourage car sharing (but those who abandoned cars and took to two wheels or two feet were also rewarded).

This was announced to all staff at the weekly briefing.

23 staff members took us up on the offer - some car sharing others opting for public transport or active travel (cycling and walking)

The breakfast was enjoyed by everyone. We will definitely run this again in the next academic year.
