Parents and carers play an important role in influencing their children's attitude about how they travel both to school and in their free time. Our task was to send out a travel survey for parents and careers as a way for us, as a school, to identify any issues parents may have regarding their children’s travel. It is also an opportunity for parents to give suggestions they may have to encourage our students to travel more actively. The Microsoft forms link was then sent out to all parents. In total 160 parents responded to the survey. The data have been presented in bar and pie charts in the attached supporting document. We have been able to identify key themes such as: the majority of children walk to school; If children do not walk, common reasons were those such as school bags being too heavy, or it being dark in the morning; road safety is a common concern amongst parents.
