Our travel plan had been updated for the start of the academic year and therefore we wanted to present this to the governors so they were aware of the work being undertaken to encourage sustainable travel and imporvement safety in the roads around the school.

Our Student Committee runs termly and therefore we added the Travel Plan to the agenda for this meeting (attached). The result was an increase in the awareness of the Travel Plan and the TfL activities that are planned to encourage sustainable travel. It also led to further discussion with local counsellors about creating a pedestrian crossing close to the school.

There were no further actions as a result of this presentation, other than to deliver the Stars activities as planned. Our Chair of Governors is continuing to work with Ealing to address the need for a pedestrian crossing on Hill Crest Road.
