School Travel Assembly
Our story
We wanted to drive home the message of how our students can lower their carbon footprint. This is in light of ‘climate change’ being selected as the children’s word of the year, and the results of our recent air quality experiment results. We therefore put on a student led assembly where our ambassador students discussed the risk of poor air quality and how what we can all do to improve this. This also tied in with our school’s theme of the yar of having equal value and responsibility. In the assembly we encouraged our students to make a climate pledge of something they can all do in playing their part to lower our school’s carbon footprint. As a result our students are now holding each other to account to walk to school, drop a stop or park and stride.
