Ford RideLondon

Ford RideLondon

About this activity

Suitable for primary and secondary school pupils.

NB: We’re bringing together all the TfL education programmes, including STARS, under one exciting new umbrella programme called TfL Travel for Life. They will be the same great programmes, but with a new name and a new look, easier online process and dedicated support team. STARS for primary schools will be renamed TfL Explorers. STARS for secondary schools will be renamed TfL Pioneers.

Ford RideLondon is an annual cycling festival held in the Capital that includes; FreeCycle, a family-friendly bike ride which takes place on eight miles of traffic-free roads in central London and is completely free for anyone to take part; a professional women’s race and three inspiration rides of 100, 60 and 30 miles. This year it takes place on Sunday 26th May 2024.

This event is a great way to inspire both cyclists and non-cyclists to get on their bikes more often! Encourage your pupils to take part or go along to spectate either with their families and friends or as part of an organised school group.

Find more information on events, dates and locations on the Ford RideLondon website.

Work with your school travel working group or cycling club to decide how your school would like to make the most of RideLondon.

How to evidence your activity
